The thrust of this article is that, based on information from Anonymous, the Kremlin, or more specifically Mr. Putin, may have funded a group of people to post negative comments on anti-Kremlin articles and otherwise influence last year's Duma election.

If this is true, it certainly falls in line with other activities the Russian government is often accused of sponsoring or ordering during election cycles.
